EAR CANDLING

"Tis' better to light one candle than to curse the silence..."

Ear candles are a gentle and painless way of soothing the ringing and buzzing of tinnitus, regulating sinuses, and clearing the canal of debris such as ear wax, and especially yeast, fungus and mold. The candles are hollow and approximately 8-10" long. They are hand made of 100% cotton and pure beeswax.

The ear candling process creates a flow of smoke and a gentle vacuum draws out impurities and accumulated debris from the head. The process also promotes detoxification of the lymphatic system and the sinuses and has been said to relieve the pain of migraine headaches in some cases.

Allergies seem to be alleviated through candling during hayfever season. For some, the relief and decrease in their medication leaves them more alert. After experiencing the process, some people have reported more clarity in their hearing, sight, or sense of taste or smell.

1) We neither make claim nor imply that ear candles are a cure for any disease or ailment, all people are different and we cannot guarantee the same benefits for everyone.

2) Consult your family physician in the event of medical problem or illness.

3) Ear candles have been historically useful as a home remedy, but are not meant to replace professional medical advice or prescribed treatment.

  • Many people have been helped with sinus, migraine (headache and neck tension) as well as allergy symptoms.
  • After several sessions, many people have reported the tickling, buzzing, ringing and/or itching of the ears has been relieved.
  • A three-month-old baby was running a fever and was diagnosed as having an ear infection, the mother brought the baby to the therapist who applied a candle in each ear. The remains of each candle revealed an inch of debris. The infection was removed and the baby's fever subsided and left.

What to expect during an ear candling session...

During an ear candling session, you lie on your side with your body in a straight alignment. A special conical candle is inserted into a protective plate... The candle is lit and slowly begins to burn. The small tapered end of the candle is gently placed in your ear canal. The ear candle — by its shape, design and length — draws ear wax and fungus deposits from deep inside your ear canal.

What happens after an ear candling sessions...

For a short time after your ear candling session, you may feel a lightness in your head and noises may seem to be much louder to you. This can be relieved by putting a little CGB liquid on a cotton ball and inserting it in your ears. To relieve any itching - simply put a drop or two of Tea Tree Oil or Echinacea liquid in your ears and then gently wipe them out with a cotton swab.

Q: Does Ear candling hurt?
A:
Absolutely not! It is a painless, harmless and totally relaxing experience. If it weren't for the intermittent crackling and hissing sounds... due to the burning of the wax and fungus being drawn up the chimney of the candle... you would never know anything was happening in your ear.

Q: How long does an ear candling session last?
A:
About forty-five minutes per session, however you should allow one hour for your appointment.

Q: How often should I have ear candling done?
A:
Initially, most people need just 2 or 3 sessions to get their ears clean... However, some may need up to eight sessions over a six month period. Once your ears are clean, personal preference should determine how often you ear candle for maintenance... probably every three to six months would be practical.

Q: Who can benefit from ear candling?
A:
Ear candling can benefit almost everyone, from infants to adults. Musicians can benefit, especially singers and horn blowers who often have a lot more wax build up than others. People who wear hearing aids, or those who have had previous ear injuries, as they tend to have a greater build up of fungus and/or scar tissue.

Q: Who should not have ear candling done?
A:
Ear candling should not be done to people who have ear tubes, perforated eardrums, or artificial eardrums.
